Organizing Table Decor

Well the drawer is opened!  I have received so many request to make a video and blog post sharing how I organize all of my home decor and tablescape decor items.  So I am breaking it down in categories showing you how I store all my beautiful entertaining treasures.  In this blog post I am sharing with you how I organize what I call my “Table Jewelry”.  These are my napkin rings, place card holders and wine glass charms.  They system really works great for me and I hope that you will enjoy.  Be sure to watch the video below to see a tour of the drawer.
In my drawer I use the linen drawer organizers from Tuesday Morning.  I love them because they are stackable and very durable.  They are very affordable (costing approximately $7.00 each) I actually have four of them in this drawer which provides me plenty of space to grow my collection :).  I also used two desk organizers that I also got from Tuesday Morning for a little over $1.00 each in the center of the drawer to hold some of my place card holders and wine glass charms.

I try to keep them grouped somewhat by color, but that is not such a big deal since I can see them all as I open the drawer.

I do feel that there are some staple pieces that are a must for my collection and I want to also share that with you.

I feel that a staple piece to have in your table jewelry collection is a monogrammed set of napkin rings.  I love adding monogrammed pieces to my tablescapes around the holidays when family is visiting.  Brings a elegant and personalized touch to your table.

Gold napkin rings are a must in my opinion.  Just like silver I love to use gold in my tablescapes.  Having a beautiful set of gold napkin rings can allow you so many different looks to your tablescape.

As much as I am a silver girl I am in LOVE with my bronze napkin rings.  I use these so much in the fall and they just make my tablescapes come to life when I use them.  They bring such a warm and fall festive feel to a table.  This is why they have made my list of must have napkin rings.

I think crystal napkin rings are at the high top of my list of must haves for your tablescape.  They bring a elegance that just cannot be matched.  I love my crystal napkin rings and use them all throughout the year.

Now you all know how much I love my silver.  So of course I would have silver napkin rings as a staple in my napkin ring collection.  The majority of my table scapes are done with silver accents so I get so much great use from having silver napkin rings.

The final staple napkin ring that I feel is a must have is a casual set.  I love this set that I got as a gift from my sister-in-law for my birthday one year.  you are actual able to write on them with chalk. Makes for a great tablescape idea!
In my video below I share with you my mini place card frame collection and why I like having 4 staple styles.

Yes, yes more organizational videos!! Can’t get enough! Where did you find the great little chest for your hallway? Love it too!

  2. Love your videos Nikki and this one did not disappoint! Purging my current stash is my challenge. I don’t want to get rid of anything, which means I’m using every available nook and cranny for storage. I would like to see a tutorial on how you create your wine charms. Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Lovely, I don’t have any napkins are napkin holders, you inspired me to get some. I have a lot of silver table card holders from my wedding, i’m thinking I will spray paint some of them gold and white so i have different options. Also i noticed that today is your 1 year blog anniversary (started Oct 28th 2012 right?) CONGRATS! You were able to build a phenomenal blog, you have inspired me to be so much more creative around the house, so thank you and keep up the great work!
