How To Organize A Beautiful Christmas Morning Brunch Tablescape 2021

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hobby Lobby. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you want to wow your family and friends this year on Christmas morning? Well, I am excited to show you how! We all deserve to have a beautiful and memorable holiday season, and you can make this happen. Creating a beautiful (budget-friendly) experience that will have your people talking for years is priceless! My inspiration for this post actually came from my grandmother Estelle. She was the queen of creating beautiful holiday experiences. She is no longer here with us on earth but the beautiful memories that she created in her home every Christmas through her decor and tablescapes never go away and still bring so much joy to our family every year.

So let’s go on the journey of putting together my 2021 Christmas morning brunch set-up for my family. As in every holiday season, my first go-to is Hobby Lobby when I am looking for inspiration in my home. Why? Well, there are a few reasons:

  • The selection is amazing! I went into Hobby Lobby the other day and was mesmerized by all of the filled shelves of glorious Christmas decor. So many styles and colors! It was Christmas heaven. Not only were all the shelves filled with holiday decor, but there were also rows of boxes waiting to be unpacked with more! My heart was beating with joy each time I saw one of their associates swipe open a new box.
  • They had me at 40% off. All Christmas merchandise at Hobby Lobby is currently 40% off! Am I the only one who gets excited by calculating my discount on every item I look at in the store?
  • Give me a one-stop shop for the win. As a professional organizer, I am always trying to find ways to work more efficiently. Saving time means saving money and reducing stress. When I go into Hobby Lobby I am able to get everything I need to create a beautiful experience in my home. Decor, fabrics, crafts they have it all and it makes my journey of decorating my home for the holidays fun!

Create your theme

The first step to putting together your Christmas decor is to come up with your theme. I find that the best way to do this is to think back on some of your happiest holiday times and ask yourself what made it so special and how can you bring that experience back with a new and fresh twist. For me, it was thinking about my grandmother and how she would create the most amazing Christmas displays in her home. We would be mesmerized for hours. They were dramatic, festive, and unforgettable. By describing that experience it gave me the three words that I would use to implement my 2021 Christmas decor.

Select your colors

Now that I have my theme in place it was about choosing the colors that spoke to me and my home this holiday season. With Hobby Lobby’s 40% off Christmas discount, I could really do it big! I decided to go with a black, white, and green color palette. I ran across the most beautiful black velvet Christmas trees and it sealed the deal for me. This would keep with my forest theme and coordinate with my current dishware. I really love the black as it gives a little modern flair to my country theme. Because I already had black wine glasses on hand, which are going to be perfect for the morning orange juice I could focus on bringing my forest theme to life.

Layout your vision

After you have pulled all of your dishware and decor it is important to lay everything out on the table so that you can get an overall feel that you are headed in the right direction. If something feels awkward then simply pull it out of the design. When I put all of my items together it is my confirmation that my vision is on the right track.

Map out your design

Now it is time for the fun part, putting your design in motion. This is my favorite part. My goal was to create different zones for our Christmas morning brunch. I am using my buffet for drinks and my dining room table will serve as the buffet table. When creating a buffet table at home, think about utilizing that verticle space. This is easy to do by placing empty boxes or bins under your tablecloth to create different heights to sit your serving bowls. Another thing that I find fun and engaging is to beautifully label all of the dishes, even if it is self-explanatory. This is a special touch that shows your family and friends that you put effort into giving them a beautiful experience. I love using mini picture frame ornaments to accomplish this mission.

Create Sparkle

Finally, Christmas would not be complete without having a little sparkle. Once you have everything laid out it is important to add that finishing touch with Christmas lights and candles. It will totally transform the entire space.

I hope that you enjoyed having a sneak peek into my Christmas plans for my family this year. Friends, it is important to start your holiday plans now to save money, time and to truly be able to enjoy the season before the Christmas rush. Of course, I want to give a huge thanks to Hobby Lobby for getting those Christmas shelves backed and providing us with amazing discounts. Be sure to check out Hobby Lobby for all your Christmas decor needs. Be prepared to be mesmerized! Have a beautiful day my friend.
