If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that Bentley and Albert, my sweet Yorkies, are more than just pets, they’re family. And just like the rest of the family, they deserve a space that’s as organized as it is adorable. So today, I’m sharing my latest organizing project: our beautifully organized pet closet!
This little nook has made such a difference in keeping all their essentials in one place. No more digging through drawers or bins, everything has a home, and it makes caring for my boys so much easier (and more fun!). Let me walk you through how I pulled it all together:
🎒 Personalized Denim Pet Closets
I started with two denim bags, one for each of my boys. These serve as their very own mini closets! I used my Cricut machine to customize the front of each bag with their names, Bentley and Albert because you know I love adding those personal touches. It’s not just cute, it makes grabbing what I need for each of them a breeze. I also use pant hangers to make it easy to grab their little coats when the weather is a bit cold.
🎨 Budget-Friendly Wallpaper (That Gave Me a Workout!)
To add a splash of personality, I used a fun, budget-friendly wallpaper on the back wall of the closet. Let me tell you—it was not the easiest to install, but once it was up, it was totally worth it. It gives the space a cheerful, polished look that makes me smile every time I open the door.
🧺 Storage That Works (and Looks Good Too)
I added a few sturdy shelves to hold their travel bag, which is a igloo leather tote, perfect for traveling with their Farmers Dog food which must be refrigerated. I also used a stylish basket with a little bone emblem perfect for storing their grooming supplies. From brushes to bows, everything is neatly tucked away but still easy to grab when needed.
For their daily essentials, I turned to customized canisters also labeled using my Cricut. These hold things like their medications, vitamins, and yes, those ever-important poop bags!
🧸 Floor Storage for the Cozy Things
On the floor of the closet, I placed two large canisters. One holds all their cozy blankets and towels, and the other stores their belly bands (a must-have in our house!). It keeps everything contained while still looking streamlined and tidy.
Why I Love This Setup
This pet closet has truly brought more ease and joy to our daily routines. Having everything in one place, not to mention organized in a way that feels personal and beautiful, has been a game-changer.
If you’re a fellow pet parent, I highly recommend carving out a small space just for your furry family members. Whether it’s a closet, cabinet, or corner of your laundry room, a little organization goes a long way in making life with pets even more enjoyable.
