Every home reaches a point where it starts to show it’s age. Well, our house is at that point. Our palace is almost twenty years old, and boy is it time to give it a little botox to keep it looking fresh and new. A few months ago, we upgraded our guest bathroom sink, mirror and lighting. The space now needs those final finishing touches to bring it to life! Even if you do not makeover your space you can transform it in minutes by implementing a few simple upgrades such as new hardware and accessories.

You don’t need to call in a contractor and spend a lot of money upgrading your bathroom. There are simple fixes that can transform a bathroom space into a beautiful oasis and bring it right into 2019, such as your hardware.

One thing that was dated in my bathroom was our door handle. It screamed early 1990! I wanted something to coordinate with the upgrades we completed a few months back in our bathroom. Clean and modern was the look I was going for, and I found it with this beautiful chrome door handle. Something about chrome just says “new and fresh”. I immediately fell in love and now it feels like you are walking into a luxury hotel every time you open the door!

A 10 minute project has removed years from this one area in our bathroom. I also wanted to add a door hanger for guest to hang their robe or clothing. Because this is a smaller bathroom, I needed to use my vertical space to keep the bathroom from feeling cluttered.

Adding the special touches is always the fun part, especially in my guest bathroom. It gives me the opportunity to make our guest feel as if they are at their own personal spa. Every spa needs a plush robe, and this was the perfect addition to my new hook.

I love an all white bathroom, but something about mine was saying it needed a pop of color. Lately, I have been loving implementing the color green in my white and grey color scheme. I found this beautiful artwork called “Watercolor Leaf” that provided the perfect “pop” needed in my stark bathroom.

A great way to bring color into your space is with plants. I love how this vase coordinates with my artwork and overall theme for the bathroom.

When I am refreshing a space in my home, I always love to think about my senses and incorporate something into the space that will bring pleasure to not only my sight but to my senses of touch and smell. This candle warmer was the perfect addition to my bathroom to bring a beautiful scent to the space, along with a soft bathmat to enhance the experience of touch in the space. Not only is it the perfect grey, it is the perfect size for my bathroom counter.

It only took a few minutes of my time to bring my bathroom to life! Such little effort to bring value to our home.

As we are getting closer to Christmas, the pressure of selecting the perfect gift gets heavy. As a professional organizer, I love sharing ways to give amazing gifts that bring order to your life. We all get our fair share of perfume, clothes and the latest tech item but by the Christmas, we have forgotten everything we received for Christmas. I recently created a home maintenance center in our garage. This is a place where the entire family can easily get to tools needed to maintain the home on a daily basis. This means that instead of hiring a professional to install Dino composite decking, one of us should most likely be able to do it! Whether hanging a picture or tightening a loose screw by having a well-organized home maintenance center helps you knock out these tasks with ease and stress-free because all your tools are right at your fingertips. While we are talking about tools, if you are looking for a new cordless drill, then take a look at this guide from Coolest Gadgets to see a range of the latest products. This would be the perfect sidekick for any upcoming home improvement projects you have planned. If you are planning large-scale renovations then it might be worth using this loan calculator to help you finance the project.

Financing any project can be difficult and you will want to make sure that you are financially stable to ensure you can afford to support yourself throughout the project. Home improvements and projects such as fixing garage doors can be complex, you can click here if you want to check out some garage door repairments, having great garage doors to protect your car and belongings is essential to building any comfortable home.

In my latest video, I share with you how I created a home maintenance center in our garage in no time. You all know how I am a fan of coordinating just about everything. Well, tools are no different. Lowe’s ® has a variety of brands such as CRAFTSMAN ® , Bosch, DeWalt ®, Kobalt™ and more great prices which makes it simple to coordinate all of your tool essentials to look seamless in your home.

The essential CRAFTSMAN ® tools that I used to create my home maintenance center are:

To bring beautiful order to all my new tools, I found this affordable and very streamline metal pegboard as I was headed to check out. I got so excited because I knew that this was the final piece to bring my home maintenance center to life. My husband Mike and I had so much fun unboxing our tools and organizing them in a way that made it easy for us to access our tools. I think what I love more about this center is the fun that Mike and I had spending time together unboxing the tools and arranging our center. Lowe’s ® has some fantastic deals currently so take advantage of this one-stop shop opportunity this Christmas season. Don’t forget to share your home management center with me on Instagram and Facebook. I am excited to see what you and your family create this Christmas! -Nikki

It’s no secret that I love organizing. I love making lists. I love anything that promises to make my life easier and more efficient.

That’s why, within minutes of receiving this stylish, multi-functional enamel caddy from Grove Collaborative, I’d already thought of a reason to order two more!

It’s also why I’m so excited to be a Grove Collaborative affiliate and share this free offer with you: When you place your first order of $20 from Grove Collaborative using my affiliate link you’ll get this free caddy filled with Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap, hand soap, and lotion – plus free shipping! Last day is TODAY!

Caddies are perfect for neatly storing and carrying just about anything around your home.

Of course, you could go the traditional route and fill it with multi-purpose spray, microfibers, a wand duster, Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap, and so on. But why stop there?

Here are five creative ways to use your Grove Collaborative caddy:

1.Mini herb or succulent garden

I love the idea of a kitchen herb garden in an unconventional planter. Add a few inches of gravel or pebbles for drainage, then a layer of potting soil, and your plants. My favorite herbs to grow are basil, cilantro, and rosemary. Another benefit of the caddy: The handle makes it easy to carry your plants to the sink for watering!

  1. Garden tool organizer

Here’s a gardening hack for all my green thumb friends: Turn your Grove caddy into a garden tool organizer! Fill it with a cute pair of gloves, trowel, pruning shears, hand rake, and kneeling board. Easily carry your garden tools around the yard instead of running back and forth to the shed, or even install the caddy on the side of the shed for those tools in near-constant use. Putting them on the side of an EasyShed Garden Shed would make them easy to get and handy to use, and you could even get a few more to have a matching set to store your seeds, fertilizers, and weed repellants in. It’d be a fantastic organising tool to help declutter that shed!

Speaking of a garden shed, when it comes to storing larger items, of course they won’t fit in this caddy, which is why knowing that there are 400 garden sheds for sale through sites like GardenSite is something worth knowing. If this doesn’t convince you to get a shed, then I don’t know what would!

When you’re done gardening, Meyer’s hand soap and lotion are perfect for pampering hardworking hands.

  1. Hair tool organizer

Low on storage space under the bathroom sink? Create a styling station with your hair dryer, brush, flat iron or curling iron, and products all within reach.

  1. Dog toy holder

Your furry best friend will love this trick: Turn the caddy into a dog toy bin that matches your decor. Fill the caddy with tennis balls, stuffed animals, and other toys. Your pup can reach his own toys, and you won’t have to worry about stepping on a squeaky toy in the middle of the stairs!

  1. Ice chest

Raise your hand if you’re ready for patio season! This caddy is just the right size to hold ice and a few bottles of wine or lemonade. It’s easy to carry outside, and so much cuter than a plastic cooler. I also recommend adding Murphy’s Naturals mosquito repellent candles to your Grove order to keep summer pests away from your party! Pests can be a real pain during the summer, especially if you want to enjoy time in your garden. Moreover, garden pests can be difficult to avoid completely, however, if your yard seems to be overrun, you might want to consider reaching out to a pest control service in order to find a solution. For more information about combatting pests, go to

Tell me, how will you use your Grove cleaning caddy? Don’t forget to grab your free set while supplies last. Here’s how:

  1. Sign up for Grove Collaborative here. You will receive the Mrs. Meyers hand soap, Mrs. Meyers hand lotion, Mrs. Myers dish soap and white cleaning caddy for free when you sign up!
  2. To receive this offer, your order needs to be a minimum of $20. Choose the combination of products and scents you love and receive your first box within a few days.

If you know me you know that I have a love for classic black. Typically this love would be for that perfect little black dress, my classic black handbag or the black planner that I keep by my side at all times. Friends, I have a new love in my classic black family. This new love is my matte black bathroom faucet and accessories. I was introduced to the Pfister Venturi Matte Black bathroom line by The Home Depot and immediately was drawn to its beauty. I have never had black faucets before and now I can’t see myself with any other finish.

My previous faucet in my office bathroom was a standard, builders grade faucet. It really had no character or style. When I pulled the Pfister Venturi Matte Black faucet out of the box and placed it next to my current faucet I knew that my bathroom sink was getting ready to come to life. Remember, bathroom faucets can vary in style so make sure you pick the perfect one to finish off your bathroom!

Installation was simple and quick which was perfect for me. I tend to get so excited when I upgrade my space and want immediate results. I’ve also been looking at some Marble Vanity Units since I think one would look great in my bathroom. I haven’t got round to buying one yet though. A kid at Christmas has nothing on me when it comes to being impatient. Remember, for plumbing jobs, bring in the professionals – someone like plumbers Tucson.

The pop-up drain stopper is so convenient, and I love the simple design. With a simple push, it closes and opens. My previous stopper was such an eyesore. The design of the Pfister faucet allows my faucet to maintain a very modern look by eliminating the need for a drain bar. You never really think about these things until you are deep into a project, but it makes a huge difference.

Once the sink was installed, I was excited to get all the other accessories installed to finish off my bathroom. In no time I had a new door hanger, toilet paper holder, and towel bar. My bathroom looks instantly changed from the year 1998 to the year 2017.

Each time, I snapped a piece in place I was beaming with DIY pride. It is so rewarding when you put the effort into upgrading your space yourself. Not only can you save money, create memories and ensure quality installation you get the reward of knowing that you put a lot of love into your space. So if you’re planning on trying your hand at some different DIY projects around your house, make sure you visit DIY construction websites and stock every nail or screw you’ll ever need for any projects in the future!

I often see interior design trends and fall in love, meaning I just have to have it! However, having a builder or contractor come out to my house each time I want something doing can get a little expensive, which has lead me to become a master of DIY! Most of the renovations in this home have been completed by myself with the help of family and friends because not only is it more affordable, but I get a sense of satisfaction after completing a job. Of course, we’ve used sites like and the advice of professionals when it comes to completing a renovation so that we’re not working blind but so far, every DIY I’ve done has gone better than expected.

One of my all time favorite home DIY project as been our media room. Mike (my husband) and I decided a few months back to transform our guest room into a media room. We love for our home to function for us every day and having two guest bedrooms just did not seem logical for our lifestyle. It was one of the best decisions we have made in our home. This room such a fun space, and perfect for entertaining.

One thing that was crucial to us was ensuring that we maintained the value in our home. We did not want to make any permanent changes to the space that would prevent us from changing it back to a bedroom if we needed to do so. You will have to check out my video to see how we created this bar area that is removable.

Blessings & Love

It has been several months since we completed the makeover on our living room. From visiting stores similar to Bazaar Velvet: Handcrafted Designer and Custom Rugs from London, UK, to shopping online, we’re so proud of how everything has come together. It took a while, but it was all worth it in the end. It is the perfect time to share my tips on decorating a living room space. From

Mike and I enjoy this space in our home. Before the makeover, it was bland and uninviting. Now it is our beautiful, relaxing space thanks to products byBESPOEK chairs. We love to sit in this room and talk about our DIY adventures with getting the space in order. There were loads of things that we looked at for getting such as this gloss tv unit. When it comes to buying furniture, you would not believe how much choice there is though. So let’s move into my tips.

Have Fun With Doing-It-Yourself

The beautiful thing about being a homeowner is that you can have fun and save money doing projects around your home. Mike and I we are very adventurous when it comes to trying to projects around the home. Our thought is that even if we make a mistake, we can always keep at it until we get it right.

The built-in cabinet in the living room is the bottom half of an old china cabinet we purchased off of Craiglist. Mike added the top portion, and together it is a beautiful focal point in the space.

Another fun DIY that we completed was our coffee table in which we made it out of picture frames. I made one of these tables several years ago, and it was such a hit with family and friends. With this space, I knew I wanted to create another table. It is such a conversation piece and works perfectly in the space. Be sure to check out my tutorial on how I made this table.

Add Color

I know some of you are surprised with me encouraging you to add color to your space. Although my home is very neutral, I do incorporate color in minimalist ways. Some of these ways are by greenery and accessories that are easily interchangeable such as decorative pillows and throws.

Incorporate Entertainment

A living room is a space that you and your family should enjoy. For some families, this is sitting in the living room watching a great movie. For others, it may be relaxing with a great book and a nice cuppa. When it comes to making the most out of your living room, good lighting could be very important especially if you have opted for darker colors. You may even want to get some new ceiling lights for the lounge so you can really engage with your book. It will also provide you with more space to decorate your room. Whatever you do, make sure that the room is suitable and decorated accordingly. I purposely do not have a television in our living room. I want that space to be the place in our home where we engage in enjoyable conversations while listening to our favorite music.

When decorating and organizing your living room space, I encourage you to make it your beautiful, relaxed haven. We may not all have the same taste in decor, but I would dare to say that many of us do share the same desire to feel relaxed, happy and safe in our home. Please enjoy my video in which I give you a tour of my living room. I hope the tips that I shared were helpful to you.

Blessings & Love
