Thanksgiving is the kickoff to the holiday season, and I am excited to team up with Walmart, the sponsors of this blog post to share a simple and delicious Thanksgiving recipe.
The Autumn salad is the perfect Thanksgiving side dish. It is a combination of delicious fresh vegetables sprinkled with cranberries and walnuts. I think my favorite part of this recipe is that it is super simple! With the Thanksgiving meal being such a huge part of the holiday, having recipes that take minimal effort but provide loads of flavor is essential. Because I can order my groceries online at Walmart, I will spend more time kicking my heels up watching holiday movies instead of cooking in the kitchen.
- 2 Large Sweet Potatoes (peeled and cubed)
- 1 1/2 c. Fresh Cranberries
- 16 oz. Fresh Brussel Sprouts(halved)
- 1 cup Walnuts
- 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp. Salt
- 1 Tsp. Pepper
- 1 Tsp. Nutmeg (optional)
Preheat oven to 400°. On a large baking sheet, place the sweet potatoes, cranberries, and Brussel sprouts. Season as desired with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (optional). Drizzle with olive oil and mix well. Bake for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through. Place walnuts on parchment paper and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for five minutes at 400°. Mix all ingredients together and serve. Makes 8-10 servings.
